A candid question: Why leave home?

I am sure DC will cut my post very soon. Many people here probably would throw "bricks" at me also.

Still, I cannot understand: Why people here all choose to leave Home, and then keep missing Home and then... and then...

Seriously, there is NOTHING in the world that prevent you to go home. Especially now with money, anything is possible in China, even much more so than in Western world - except True Freedom and True Democracy. You dont have to give up any material comfort you treasure in where you live now.

However, I am sure ordinary folks dont really care THAT MUCH about Freedom and Democracy, as long as life is comfortable enough.

This is a mental complex that is beyond my comprehension. Also it is a valid argument by many Westerners to question, WHY you Chinese dont go home if you so miss it and your Home is so much better?

Or, people just remember the good things and beautify them and ignore the ugly things, which are the true reasons why so many Chinese choose to live overseas (a long history of it no less). To me, this mentality is much more hyprocatic than anything else.

I am more like Mengxu, dont know exactly where I belong, but it does not affect my living happily where I choose to live.
