The camping facilities in countries outside U.S. are generally much nicer, even in Canada. Dont know why.
There are actually camping sites in the middle of cities, such as Paris, Rome and Geneva! We still talked about how our tent was the smallest one right at the entrance of the site near Lake Geneva - it rained and rained and rained some more. We were forced to cook our spaghetti under the small "lip" of our tent - couldnot make our way to the communal kitchen which had gas stoves. You fed coins to the machine to get hotwater for shower. Oh, the happy memories.
