The name is from Dutch - Hoorn in Dutch means Ovens - it is Cape of Ovens

That makes sense as the Tierra del Fuego in Spanish means Land of Fire - so that place must be very hot in Summer?

But once it becomes English, we would not know the true meaning, but call it The Horn. What a true "Lost in Translation"!
