Badwater without water:
The lowest point in North America. Hard to believe it is just few hundreds miles away from the highest point, Mt. Whitney, in lower 48 states.




Canyons in Death Valley:
Death Valley should have plenty of water eons ago. The canyon displays the power of water.

Regretting skipped the Antelope Canyon, I visited the Upper Fall Canyon in Death Valley:





As usual, my daughter takes care of camera; I am the video typing guy :-)


and have an easy time


Just wearing sneakers? Yes, I was in such a hurry to leave home that I forgot to bring my hiking boots.

What a canyon wall; it is really tall and is sheer vertical!


In order to reach the Upper Fall Canyon, We had to hike 2.5 miles in Lower Fall Canyon on such kind of dry water bed,


along such kind of canyon wall all the way up,


and climbed this 20 feet high dry water fall on top of 1000+ feet elevation gain,


Just kidding. The actual place to climb up the dry water fall is in beyond top right corner of the picture. It is still not an easy climb and my wife had to stay below the dry water fall.
