Actually there is something similar die hard skiers do

I have run into these die hard skiers from around the world at many ski resorts. I call them the ski resort "normads". They work service jobs, wait tables, tend bars, work at resort front desks, etc, barely make enough to sustain their very expensive life at the ski resorts. They roam from north hemisphere to south hemisphere to satisfy their hunger for the "white powder".

That's in a sense a skiers' exchange program....
