YOU ARE RIGHT, THE LACK OF DEPTH OF DIGITAL IMAGES COMES FROM "SATURATION". DIGITAL IMAGES ONLY CAPTURES LIGHT/COLOR DIFFERENCES WITHIN A NERROW RANGE, WHICH MAKE THEM LESS RICH THAN FILM.
