  I have a similar age boy as yours. Several years ago, my  marriage had an issue,  and my son was very upset. He became quite and no smile. We went to meet his teacher. His teacher said he used to be a happy and smile a lot. ' I want his smile back' the teacher said to us before end of meeting.  Right now, my son becomes more open and happy. We are still working on it.
