走马观花, can you learn a lot?

It sounds like a lot of torture to me. I will not learn enough or see enough with this kind of trip, it doesn't matter as soon as you and your son enjoyed. It is a little bit risky to me, but thank god that you didn't kill youself and your young son. You should consider other peoples' oppinion and think twice to take this kind of trip, go with other family or friends, slow down, don't be confused and enjoy. Sorry if I sound judgemental.
