But maybe Hello2002's kids do not want to. Every family is different.

My suggestions: Santa Barbara (beautiful beach city), University Studios, Getty Center/Villa in LA for art lovers,California Science Center (to view the Endeavor Space shuttle)  La Jolla for beaches, Orange County for shopping (Costa Mesa mall, Fashion Island), Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, and San Gabriel for Chinese food.
