there got to be parking lots around. Or you can go a farther place to park and ride to your hotel :)

You better have a car to visit the bridge though. Both ends are nice. It doesn't take much to go around. China beach also gives a good view of the bridge, BTW.

I did walk near civic center at night with a few friends. Saw a few homeless-like people but there were also many other persons. Wasn't robbed or threatened at all :)
