Seriously, the food choices on a cruise are phenominal and even majority of it are Western foods (I would not say it is American food), many Chinese elderlies would still enjoy it very much. I have seen many Chinese families on cruises, particularly cruises leaving LA going down to Mexico - mostly calm sea all the way and very casual amosphere, even more casual than Caribbean cruises - though you would find the ratios of African American and Hispanic passengers are much higher on so-called Mexican Riviera cruises (to Baja Mexico, usually round trip LA or San Diego).
