You have to understand July-August are the peak seasons for Canadian Rockies - the area can still see snow in late June and it snows again in early sept - everyone tries to tour it in the height of summer, and with school holidays in those 2 months too.

Be prepared to pay TOP BUCKS, otherwise, forget it. Those B&Bs are booked up as early as April...

But if you can afford or dont mind, to pay for Fairmont's gorgeous historical hotels, such as Chateau Lake Louise, Banff Spring Hotel or the one in Jasper, you will still get a room.
