请教去北密的camping问题

其实我挺喜欢玩的，虽然最近不经常在版上发帖子，:). 去年劳动节去了北密, upper peninsula, 但叶子都是绿色的，感觉不过瘾。今年打算10月份的第一个礼拜开车再去北密，以及加拿大那边转转，计划在up camping for 2 nights. 我现在准备带
1.camping tent
2.air mattress
3.bug/bear spray
4.deer alert/whistle
5.hammer(for getting the screws of the tent into the ground)
我现在想知道还需要带个high beam flashlight吗？我之前晚上camping, 用车灯照亮就可以了。如果需要的话，买哪种比较好？also, 有必要再弄个outdoor gps吗？因为这次我想去那边玩的时候顺便再拍拍照片，所以应该就我一个人去了，不找人。如果一个人单独去的话，还有什么需要注意的吗？从安全的角度考虑的话。知道那边鹿多，而且很有可能为了拍照会起早贪黑，所以我已经买了2个防鹿的了, 呵呵.

also, when is the best time to go to up to see the fall colors? for now, im planning to go there during the first wk of oct, but i also heard ppl telling me that i should go during the 2nd wk of oct. im kinda afraid the weather is gonna get pretty chilly for camping if i go to up during the 2nd wk of oct. of course, i will keep a close eye on the foliage report, but b/c i have to take 5 days off to make this trip happen, so i also need to plan ahead.
