walls were built in the 1st place?

i tend to think building thick walls around oneself is a sign of weakness.

in fact, these walls were built to prevent the horses of northern invaders from crossing over. but they eventually did cross.

the best defensive policy is always to make oneself strong, and then enlarge and stretch out...

hope no more walls are needed ever.
