When Colorado NM -> Arches, use 128. It will save your mileage and reward you the view.

On 128, few hundred yards before you hit the junction to Moab, on your left, there is a metal pipe with running water coming out(behind the wall, it is a fountain), the water is drinkable. It was said the water can... The slat on the groud has a fosilized dinoaure foot print.
