Whistler will still be snowing in March

The Whistler sightseeing gondola is open year around and non-skiing tourists can take the ride. But if it snows heavily, it could get foggy on top of Whistler mountain. It's still a great ride to get up there and hang out at the lodge up there. Have been to Whistler probably close to 20 times over the years (used to go a couple of time every single winter). It is a breathtaking drive Vancouver to Whistler and the name the Sea-to-Sky drive says it all! It can be a tough drive, esp. with the 2010 Olympics road construction. It's also fun hanging out at Whistler village - it has that European mountain village feel. Everyone, skier or non-skier, should be able to found something to enjoy in Whistler.

This is a record breaking rainy year in the Northwest. One thing you should know about the Northwestern mountains - there will always be snow and ice any time of the year. And that's the whole beauty of it.
