天天下雨may be true. But here is a little secret

that even the locals may not tell you.

1. "You can always find a ray of sunshine on at least 300 days of the year in the Northwest". When they tell it rains in northwest every day, it's true. What they don't tell you is showers come and go during the day, the rest of day may be perfectly sunny, sunny with clouds, cloudy, or 1/2 of sky is dark and showering and 1/2 perfectly sunny with a rainbow.

2. Landscape plays a big role in the weather. When you get up in the morning and it rainy outside, don't go back to sleep. Instead, go outside and as you drive 10 blocks, you may very well hit perfect sunshine. Again, showers come and go.


2. Pouring rain is not common but depending on the year (this winter is really bad and rare). Misty and cloudiness is quite often.

3. Some years are worse than other years.

In one word, yes it may be raining every day in March or April but there will always be a ray of sunshine somewhere sometime. It is the best weather for photography.

End of March-early April, Skagit Valley Tuplip festival should be on and these are the largest tulip fields in the world. That's the only time of the year to see them.
