Questions about Eurostar and Train in Europe

Hi All,

I will take a vacation in Europe this June and have a couple of questions for train service.

London -> Paris, I would like to take Eurostar. I can buy the advanced tickets before leaving US from internet, like 'www.raileurope.com'. Another choice is to buy the tickets when I get to the London St-Pancras Euro station. Which option is better and cheaper? Is it convenient to buy at station?

I will also travel in Italy by train and do not plan to buy Pass. So, I have the same questions as above for my train services in Italy.
