刚刚收到在秘鲁工作的一个医生朋友电子信, 原始森林正在流传登革热(一种热带传染病,骨关节及肌肉奇痛),下面是部分信中的内容:
Hola a todos,
Every day, we hear about more cases of dengue. As Doctor Jorge noted in his e-mail this past Sunday, there have been almost 3000 cases of dengue in Loreto in the jungle and 8 deaths in Iquitos, or already the same number of deaths from dengue in all of Peru in 2010. People who travel can carry the disease to other places – and if the Aedes aegypti mosquitos lives in these places, it can spread dengue. It was reported today that there are five cases in La Libertad, all brought from people who traveled to Iquitos and the jungle in Loreto.
In light of all of this, it is necessary to ban travel to Iquitos until further notice.
Here is a map which shows the areas where Dengue was more prevalent last year.. The red areas are the high risk areas.
