去云南, 跟团 or not? with 2 kids

If 跟团, we plan to visit 昆明 西双版纳 大理 丽江. If by ourself, maybe just 昆明 西双版纳. Does it worth to go to 丽江? We have snow mountain here in CA (in winter) as well.  Also any good travel agency in China?
