纽约–缅因州Acadia National Park

We are planning drive from New York to Acadia National Park this August. Our family includes seniors (my parents are close to 70) and kids (4 and 6), so we want a relaxed trip last within a week. I am asking any suggestion on the route plan: some places worthy to stop by on the way, lodge places with reasonble prices ($100/Room), where to eat with chinese food or at least hot food for my parents.
