The black mountain trail near my home is 11 mile round trip, and we hiked there almost every weekend in winter. It normally took us 3.5 hours. Some people on the trail were faster than us.

Kalalau trail is 22 miles round trip. It took us 8-9 hours each way, and the biggest challenge was the uneven footing and being slippery. Had to proceed very carefully.
