In my impression, there are no good chinese restaurants in Carmel. But you DO have a lot to sightseeing, I list several here:
1) Point Lobos (half-hour drive)
2) Garrapata SP
3) Pfeiffer Big Sur SP (one-hour drive)
4) Pfeiffer Beach (very good to watch the sunset, but it's difficult to find the way to there)
5) Julia Pfeiffer Burns SP
