妙笔! We used to go crabbing at the Mexican bay near Galveston.

It was so easy initally (1996). We tied the chick leg to a rope (3m long), throw it in the water, the crab almost bited it immediately, you could feel it, then you dragged it in slowly. One time we got 60+ crabs this way using only 3 ropes. We couldn't even finish them all, had to give some away. By 1998, the crabs were getting smart. We ended up with less and less crabs, eventually none at all, had to buy it from a Vietnamese truck stand. They sold 12 crabs (all female) for $6.5. Miss the good old days.
