HELP - luggage limit

I am flying from NY to Beijing and then tranfer domestic flight from Beijing to Shenyang. International flight allows two free luggages - do we also get two in domestic leg because we transfer from international? we use to buy int'l and domestic from the same airline (Air China) and it is always not a problem. but this time one is Continental and the other is Southern. Anyone with such experience? Thanks much.
