Help on plan Seattle - Olympic National Park - Victoria trip

Hi,

I am planning a 8-9 days trip to Seattle - Olympic National Park - Victoria. But found out if we do seattle -> Olympic -> Victoria -> Seattle. The ferry with car is quite expensive. Any suggestion? Should I rent a car from seattle and drop in at port angeles. And come back to seattle to re-rent a car?

I also have following questions,

1. if pick from Mt. rainer and Mt. baker, which one is better?
2. Is San Juan island or orcas island better, is we don't have a car from the island, will it be a problem?
