Going to BWCA ( Boundary Waters Canoe Area ), unless you just drive around it and stay in the cabin, requires permit to enter the heart of this wonder. Panning ahead is always a good idea, pack and go won't work, be aware of the regulations. You have to carry your own food, canoe and tent - muscle power is required, it is a group activity. This place is one of the best if you like wilderness, the trip should be worth it.
