tried to copy Swiss or London model, now being hit badly, negative 2 quarters GDP growth already, 1 of the earliest into recession in Asia.
real aggressive in terms of loosing regulation for hedge fund registration, to compete against HK; and buildup casimo/conference catering business, to compete against Macau. now have to face downside from both sides.
anyway, its relatively easier to manage a city than manage a big country. that is 1 of its advantages.
