Not to worry. Gros Ventre Campground almost never get filled, if it's full -- it's in major holiday weekend, like July 4th or Labor Day weekend.
Last year, in mid-July, I checked into the campground after a long day's hike and get there at 9pm, more than half of the sites are empty. Plus, since it's in the south end of the park and close the town of Jackson, not many wildlives to worry about. The only drawback is: The campground is the least maintained campground in the Park.
