3月底携老人去夏威夷求建议

3月底乘春假尽孝心带两位老人和一个孩子(8岁)还有我们夫妻去夏威夷。其中一位老人的腿不太好走路较慢。有去过的朋友建议我们第一次只去一个岛，在岛上住一周时间，以后有机会再去其他的岛。
请问：
1，如果只去一个岛我们该去哪里？Honolulu是不是更方便有更多的东西可看？
2，如果去Honolulu我们该住哪里？请推荐旅馆(不须太高档的)，或者租人家的房子，最好能自己做简单的饭。老人吃不贯美国饭，而且顿顿外面吃也挺贵的。那里有没有卖中国食品的？
