I went & camped there in August long time back. It was very cold but it's a breathless beauty.

The park is well estabilised, just like Grand Caynon. 3-4 hours should be sufficient if you just drive & stop by at the scenery points, and don't plan to walk down there.

If the park is covered by snow, you may want to go back to see the color another time.
