Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. Just one more question, Do you mean that it is very possible that in winter it is always too cloudy to see the aurora, or it was just bad luck for you guys, since I heard that there should be more than 200 days per year in fairbanks when it can be seen, and winter should be the right time. Thanks!
