you can rent the gears, but we

have our own. some beaches don't have gear rental business. suggest to get local maps which show the spots for snorkeling. my experience is that the best time for snorkeling is in the morning, you get to see many different types. if you go snorkeling at beaches, it's free. but getting on ships is different excitement. you can see turtles and dolphins, again, morning cruise is preferred (but a bit pricier)
