1. The water from the mountains thats 60 miles away is much cleaner as you could imagine, instead the water from the Tiber river is quite dirty .

2. Mosaic is natural, not man made. They use it as the color would still remain vivid even after thousands of years.

3. Not too sure but I believe that bricks may not be strong enough for such a large construction. Also it won't last as long either.

4. This question is ridiculous.. How can you compare something constructed thousands of years ago to something new? 北大 didn't even exist back then...lmao
