It is worth to drive the full length, because

towards the other end, you will be driving directly on the mountain ridge, with scenery on both sides. That section is more wilderness view, then the city view as shown here. Mostly you see on the top of the mountain ridge, are expensive homes behind trees/shrubs, with wide-open vistas on both sides. Personally we feel this is more beautiful than the city view of LA.

Because of the winding road and the many side roads that intersect it, it is quite easy to miss turn and accidentally leave the drive. So whenever you make a few turns, make sure you check the street sign to see if you are still on Mulholland.

We drove almost the whole drive, but we took a wrong road to go downhill, and probably missed the last 2-3 miles.
