All beaches in Hawaii are public beaches

Not only that, any new developments must maintain areas for public access and even provide public parking.

It has its advantage and its drawback.

If you are a hotel guest, or a condo owner, you may feel annoyed when the locals having family bbq parties right at the front of hotel/condo on a, say, Memorial weekend. It can get extremely noisy.
