Canadian Rockies in winter

No offense, but I think that's the wrong question to ask. You can visit Canadian Rockies in winter for sure as many people do; but don't expect to see the same scenery and do the same activities as in summer. I've been there twice, once in June and once in August. Some lakes are frozen well into June. Would expect many places to be not easily accessible. I personally always want to go there in winter - I'm a skiier. If you like winter sports and winter scenery, I'd say go for it. When I visited in June, I was told many hotels in the Banff/Lake Louise area were almost sold out for the following winter - by skiiers. Their ski resort is among Canada's top 3.
