Applying visa to Mexico from North Carolina

Dear guys:

Has anyone applied travel visa to Mexico from North Carolina? I understand you have to go to the consulate for the application. Did you go to Charlotte or Raleigh? What are the documents to bring? I could not get through their telephone systems. Thanks a lot in advance!
