Italian restaurant that created tiramisu set to close in March

Le Beccherie, in Treviso, Italy, will close its doors at the end of the month because of its dwindling clientele thanks to the country’s financial crisis. It was in the 1970s that the establishment combined ladyfingers, eggs, sugar, mascarpone cheese and cocoa to create the popular dessert tiramisu.

The Italian restaurant that invented the world-famous dessert of tiramisu is to close down because of the country's financial crisis.

Le Beccherie, in Treviso, northern Italy, will shut its doors at the end of this month。
