hi mike my friend...you dont need a special visa as such..but a so called permit..and you can get this easily from local travel agents, once yu have told them your intension to go to tibet, and when are yu going, places yu are going etc...it wil only take a couple of days i believe...shouldn't be hard...if you have time in aug...then we can well plan it up...
