It is more about humanity but "manity".

As I read it from the afternote of the poem, the story goes, the young monk and the young nun fell in love with each other, and both IMMEDIATELY decided to sever the love link and to live their lives as Buddhist devotees.

Buddha nature has its basis in human nature as I stated in my post.
