I recall some documentaries in passing revealed similar issues in the older Europe. Sometimes it took me by surprise... Of course I never held this against the Europeans. It would be irrational. 

One thing I recently discovered is that  翠绿s are often not so honest. You need to constantly remind yourself about the credibility of the information they provide on related topics. Too much of a hassle for me.
