Hitler go from democracy of the Weimar Republic into Nazi dictatorship using the Germany people's nationalism. With his charismatic appearance and speeches, he "persuaded" German people to vote against the Jews, he "persuaded" them to vote for "Third Reich" is to vote for Germany. He did many referedums in which finally destroyed the Weimar Republic. All of them legally under Weimar's constitution. That is why democracy can lead to dictatorship under certain rulers. DDP is using this tactic to eliminate KMT with words such as "vote for DDP is for Taiwan, vote against DDP is against Taiwan". This is the same kind of slogan Hitler used when speaking for his Nazi party. There is a rumor that president Chen Sui Bian is reading Hitler's "My Struggle (Mein Kumph)". Maybe this is true?
