Skate on a frozen watch


I skate on a frozen watch
while its hands freeze at 12
My skate blades leave many a notch
on the watch surface that I aim to delve
Inevitably I stumble
and butt time a hole after many a scotch
and see speaking to me a ticking ELF
Whose life needs a watch
