essay, as well as the book with the same name, "Eiger Dreams", written by Jon Krakauer. In this book, Mr. Krakauer, a seasoned climber, talks about the mountaineering and the local cultures of the famous mountains. Both Mt. Eiger and Mt. Blanc, which seem so popular in this forum, are vivdly depicted in his separate essays.

I strongly recommend his books, including "Eiger Dreams", "Into the Wild", and "into Thin Air" to anyone who is facinated with nature, mountaineering and backcountry, and especially to those who like to scale mountains in this world.
