from the movie "The Great Waltz (film)", the original version of this song was actually known as "Wer Uns Getraut", (Who Marry Us, in English), from Johann Struass Junior's operatta "the Gypsy Baron". Lyrics was of course in German. Oscar Hammerstein II put in the English words as "One Day When We Were Young".
