在美国 和 中国矫牙的经历

虽已40，但wanted to have my teeth done. I found a orthodontist in my city in US and he started the work for my teeth. After six months, I found out my family was moving to Shanghai. My US orthodontist referred me to his college 师兄 in China who is currently working as a famous orthodontist in Shanghai to continue the work. I referred him as Doc C.

Doc C took my case and worked on my teeth for around one year now, and I was told it's going to be done early next year, but I am not satisfied with the results at all. I even thought it was even worse than before my teeth done. I went back to US this summer for a short stay and visited my former orthodontist in US, he was surprised and sad to see my teeth condition has not improved much. After returning to Shanghai, I talked to Doc C regarding my concern and but he insisted that he can't do much to my teeth due to age concern. He thinks he did a good job and is on the right track.

I went to visit another orthodontist from US who is practising in Shanghai. According to her, my case is complicated and really needs to have lots of work (like pull a tooth out) to make improvement. She said
my current teeth condition is bad and needs to be improved.

My general feeling is that American Orthodontists have different standard from Chinese orthodontists.

What am I going to do? If I switch to the American orthodontist in Shanghai, time and money will be my cost.But the end results? I don't know.

If I continue with Doc C, I am not satisified with the results. I don't see he's going to make it any better.
