"If a play has his hand in contact with the ball and an opponent hits the hand causing the ball to go out-of- bounds, the team whose player has his hand on the ball will retain the possession".

If Reji got hit by Barns, that is thunder's ball. If he didn't got hit by Barns, that is Clipper's ball.
