a little discussion about "two gap"

I thought two-gap stuff means a defensive lineman has to block both gaps beside a offensive line man, which means he has to completely dominate his opponet.
a average defensive tackle can only block one gap between two offensive linemen, giving the name "one-gap" blocking guy.
