Just because some guy allegedly wrote it in a book, that made it so? 

I can write a book tomorrow and say that the CCP led the Chinese people to defeat the Japanese invasion, or that communism is a great thing. 

So?  

Li as a scholar?  Please don't take him seriously.  One alphabet for him -- "F" -- as for fail.
